Story
In Austria’s Traisental wine region - smallest and youngest in Austria - lies Matthias Altmann’s vineyards, a young, energetic vigneron with a big future ahead of him.
Matthias has just 3.5 hectares of vines, all organically and sustainably farmed and cared for like gardens by Matthias himself. In the cellar, the manipulation is low. Natural yeasts, unfiltered, unfined and only minimal sulphur is used. As Matthias himself says, the cellar philosophy is to let the wines grow.
We’re excited to be working with such an enthusiastic, talented young winemaker.
