The great influence of the Mediterranean breeze, known as the Llebeig wind, cools the air in summer and tempers temperatures, making them milder in winter, while keeping the air humid all year round.
This creates a microclimate that favours the cultivation of vines: winters are warm and summers are hot with mild temperatures and a not very pronounced thermal gradient, which makes Moscatell de Alejandría and Giró, autochthonous varieties of the area, so special.
