This is an incredibly special wine because 80% of the organically grown Corinto Nero grapes originate from 150 year old pre-phylloxera vines. The wine is aged in a mixture of stainless steel and old oak barrels. The result is a dark, brooding wine with flavours of black pepper, plums and baking spices.

WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE Black pepper, plums, dark fruit, baking spices, it’s all in this deeply dark and delicious nose.
STRUCTURE There’s 100% Corinto Nero in this wine (80% of which comes from 150 year old pre-phylloxera vines), aged in a mixture of stainless steel and 500 litre oak barrels. The ageing gives the wine a delightfully spicy flavour. It’s medium bodied and intensely concentrated with plenty of plum and black pepper notes. The tannins are present, so this is a wine best consumed with food.
PAIRING You need something salty to balance the tannins in this wine, why not try with grilled red meat on the BBQ.
