Story
Maria Sole’s estate is found at the crossroads of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. All three regions have a huge influence on her incredibly interesting, complex wines.
The estate was originally her grandfather’s who planted the vines in the 1960s. It passed through the hands of Maria’s father before reaching Maria herself. Maria studied at the Slow Food university of culinary arts where she discovered a passion for organic and biodynnamic practices – ones that she now adopts in her special vineyards.
Maria owns a large portion of Sangiovese vines but also experiments with lesser known varieties from the area including Verdello, Ciliegiolo, and Gamay del Trasimeno.
