A beautiful natural red made with Barbera grapes grown in La Morra, a highly prestigious area of Piedmont in northern Italy. The vineyards have been organic since the 1970s and are now moving towards Biodynamics. The flavours are typical for Barbera - think red fruits and nutmeg - with a concentrated palate. The grapes were only macerated for a short amount of time in stainless steel in order to preserve freshness and keep it easy to drink.

WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE Red fruits are the first flavour that springs from the glass - red cherries, wild raspberries and strawberries. There’s also a hint of baking spices such as nutmeg.
STRUCTURE This has a classic Barbera palate of red fruits and concentrated flavours. The structure is relatively light (for Barbera at least) thanks to a short maceration of the fruit and ageing time in stainless steel. Fresh, fruity and easy to drink.
PAIRING Grab some pizzas - especially with meaty toppings - and a couple of friends.
