Il Brunello di Montalcino di Fonterenza è prodotto con le viti più vecchie dell'azienda e invecchiato per ben 47 mesi in grandi botti di rovere. Al palato presenta i classici sapori del Sangiovese, tra cui l'amarena. A causa dell'età di questo vino, il palato è ricco di cuoio e spezie. Un vino naturale complesso e corposo, davvero degno di essere invecchiato. Come per tutti i vini di Francesca e Margherita Padovani, le uve sono coltivate con metodo biologico. La cantina utilizza anche metodi biodinamici.

WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE Plenty of classic sour cherry fruit is on the nose, but the wine is developing so expect some tertiary flavours too such as leather and spice.
STRUCTURE Sangiovese grapes from the winery’s oldest vineyards are aged for 47 months in large oak barrels. The result is complex, structured wine that although tasting wonderful now, could age for decades. On the palate it’s deep and dark with spicy notes, firm tannins and a touch of leather.
PAIRING This is a brooding wine for cold winter nights paired with some special foods such as steak and mushroom sauce.
