WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE The overwhelming aroma is of intense oranges! You’ll also find grapefruit peel and passion fruit aromas. This is a wine whose nose develops quickly in the glass, after some air it will become more rose-like and spicy.
STRUCTURE Very aromatic - think floral flavours such as peony and rose. There is also a touch of Timu pepper. The acidity is taut and the tannins are relatively low for an orange wine.
PAIRING This wine would be great with hard, strong cheeses or blue cheeses such as Roquefort. But it’s also a wine that demands attention and some discussion so could easily be drunk on its own at the end of a dinner.
